Our Sustainability Agenda
Our sustainability agenda has five focus topics and provides the framework for our sustainability management:
- Climate protection: development and implementation of a climate strategy.
- Resource cycling: commitment to reuse, reduce and recycle wherever possible.
- Responsible supply chain: development and establishment of processes integrating human rights and environmental due diligence along our value chain.
- Diversity, equal opportunities and inclusion: promoting social diversity among employees.
- Social engagement: donations activities to support projects, close to our core mission.
Our Sustainability Agenda covers all ESG standards (Environment, Social, Governance).
Our way to a Better Climate
We have decided to increase our action against climate change. As a part of PHOENIX group we have set a climate target. Our goal is to become carbon neutral in our own operations (Scope 1 and 2) by 2030. To achieve this, we plan to reduce our Scope 1 and 2 emissions by at least 42 percent compared to our emissions in the financial year 2021/2022.
By achieving our climate target we primarily focus on:
- energy efficiency,
- own energy production and
- fuel switch.
